The Haleyville City Board of Education met Tuesday evening. The following items were approved. 

-Board expenditures for the month of September

-Field trip request for FFA students and Caleb Beason to attend the National FFA Convention

-Student/Parent Agreement Handbook for the use of student iPads

-2014 HMS and HHS Softball schedules

-Substitute teacher list

-Highest bid for Canon Image Runner 5000 copier to Witcher Office Supply for $500

-Rejection of all bids on two surplus buses and approval to sell as scrap metal

-Five fundraisers

-Hiring of Diane Benford as concession and bus aide for 2013-14 school year

-Hire of Joseph Faircloth as academic morning math tutor and Amy Townsend as substitute tutor at HHS for 21st Century Program

-Resignation of Jennifer Baker as Health Science Instructor at HCT
