The Bear Creek and Haleyville Fire Departments responded to a house fire at 201 Bethel Road Monday around 5:00 a.m. The home is located off State Highway 241, south of County Road 48. Despite efforts of the firemen on the scene, the home of Jimmy and Fay Brigman was completely destroyed. The owners were able to escape without injury but lost everything in the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
