Haleyville Fire Department's "new" pumper was out at drill Thursday night at Haleyville Elementary School. Firefighters were testing hose. Chief Phillip Weaver said that the department tests all equipment at least once each year. Some required testing involves outside companies and the department spends about $5,000 annually to maintain equipment certifications. The surplus pumper was purchased with insurance claim money.
