A local woman was robbed at gunpoint Friday night, December 2, and two of her co-workers are charged with the crime.

The victim told Police that she was leaving a part-time job at around 10 PM when the two co-workers from her primary job attacked and assaulted her. The suspects tied her up, jerked her purse from her and took off in her van.

Using information obtained from the victim, police identified the suspects as Terry Jerome Green, 44, of 966 Marion 107 in Hamilton and Benjamine Antonio Hasty, 34, of 48 Short Leaf Ln Haleyville.

With assistance of Hamilton Police and Marion County Sheriff's Deputies, HPD surveilled Green's home. At that time one of the suspects left the home and was taken into custody. Police then received permission from Mrs. Green to search the home and the other suspect was then taken into custody. Both were taken to HPD for questioning and were booked and transported to Winston County Jail.

Green and Hasty are both charged with First Degree Robbery and Auto Theft for Use in a Crime.

Sources close to the investigation said that this was not a random crime and that the victim's clothes were torn in the struggle, not as the result of any sexual assault.
