As forcast, snow spread across north Alabama Monday night and Tuesday morning and left a light cover on grass and trees. The temperture dropped to 32 degrees overnight in Haleyville, but not cold enough for the snow to create any travel problems. Haleyville and Winston County schools were operating on their normal schedules.
