BCFD Gets New Tanker

The Bear Creek Fire Department recently purchased a new tanker for use by the department. It is a 1987 Western Star truck that holds approximately 3,900 gallons of water. The tank was refinished by Robinson’s Sandblasting in Haleyville, but all other upgrades and repairs to the truck were completed by Bear Creek firemen.

This tanker will assist Bear Creek Fire Department in areas with limited water supply, especially in cases of structure fires. If needed, the Bear Creek Fire Department will also be better prepared to assist neighboring agencies in their time of need.

Truck 795 has already been on two calls, and it performed flawlessly.
