Brake Failure Causes Accident

There was a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Pentecostal Church Road and State Highway 129 Tuesday night. Jody Parrish, 16 of Haleyville, was driving his 1998 Chevrolet Silverado on Pentecostal Church Road, and when he arrived at the Highway 129 intersection, the brakes failed. The 2006 Toyota Corolla driven by Ricky Wayne Thrasher, 57 of Haleyville, was unable to stop before crashing into Parrish's truck. Thrasher also had a passenger in the car, but no one was injured in the accident. The accident is under investigation by the Alabama Department of Public Safety.
