Fire Destroys Family Home

There was a residential fire at the home of Rita Brimer on County Highway 19 (Thornhill Road) around 4:00 Thursday morning. When Haleyville firemen arrived on the scene, the home was fully involved. Despite efforts of the firemen, the home was completely destroyed. No one was at home at the time of the fire; however, one Haleyville firefighter sustained minor injuries on the scene. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
