The Haleyville City Board of Education met Tuesday evening for the monthly meeting, and all members were present. The following items were approved.

• agenda for the meeting
• minutes from regular 4/22/14 meeting and special called meeting on 5/8/14
• Board Officer Elections: Beth McAlpine will serve a second term as President of the Haleyville City Board of Education, and Kris Burleson will serve as Vice President. Both were unanimous decisions, with the exception of McAlpine and Burleson abstaining in their respective votes.
• board expenditures for April in the amount of $1,406,729.27
• joint funding agreement with City of Haleyville (Barry Burleson abstained from the vote.)
• Howie Lyons as Volunteer Cross Country Coach for 2014-15 school year
• summer school for all Haleyville City Schools with the first session June 9-27 and second session July 7-25
• HHS Varisty, Junior Varsity, and Middle School football schedules and HHS cross country schedule
• lunch prices for 2014-15 school year
• amendments to salary/supplement schedule
• use of baseball field by American Legion for summer ball
• use of HES Cafeteria to the Winston County Sports Hall of Fame July 19, 2014
• field trip request for HHS Auto Tech students and Mike Bachelor to attend Skills USA Nationals in Kansas City, MO June 23-27, 2014
• Susan Lawson and Jackie Sullins to provide athletic/extra-curricular nurse coverage during the summer and be added to the substitute nurse list for fall 2014
• field trip request for FFA students and Caleb Beason to attend State FFA Conference in Montgomery June 3-6
• board meeting calendar for 2014-15 school year
• use of HES Lunchroom for Haleyville Alumni Luncheon and the HES parking lot for the staging of Alumni Parade June 7
• junior class fundraiser with Great American Products September 7-October 1, 2014
• varsity volleyball fundraiser with Avon, Tupperware, and Stanley products June 2-16, 2014
