The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Fire Weather Watch for all of Central Alabama.  This watch means conditions are not suitable for outdoor burning, and any outdoor fires can get out of control quickly. This watch is in effect for all of Central Alabama including Marion, Winston, and Franklin Counties until Thursday afternoon.

Also, the National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Freeze Warning for tonight, as temperatures are expected to drop. Lows are expected to be from 22 to 31 degrees, and the warning is in effect until 9:00 a.m. Thursday morning. These temperatures are likely to kill crops and other sensitive vegetation and could have an effect on exposed pipes and pets.  Take required precautions to prevent adverse effects on these items.
