Overturned Log Truck

The Bear Creek Fire and Police Departments responded to a one vehicle accident on State Highway 172 Thursday around 8:00 a.m. An eighteen wheeler carrying logs overturned in the sharp curve just west of State Highway 241. The truck belonged to Pierce Logging of Haleyville, and Nickey Reno of Danville was driving. Reno stated he was stopped in the road waiting for another truck to pass, and the truck overturned when he started to move. The incident is under investigation by the Bear Creek Police Department.
