Lady Lions Advance to Regional Tournament

The Haleyville Lady Lions softball team played in the Class 4A Area Tournament Thursday.  The Lions opened the tournament with a win against Priceville, but they were defeated by East Lawrence in the next game.  The Lady Lions fought their way back through the losers' bracket with three back to back games to first defeat Brooks and then to defeat East Lawrence twice for the area championship.  

The Lady Lions will advance to the Regional Tournament in Huntsville May 10-11. The Lady Lions are set to face Central High School at 3:30 Friday afternoon.
