The City Council met Monday evening and took the following action:

Approved the E-1 (Entertainment) District;

Approved court cost increases effective 10/1/2010 of $25.50 for traffic offenses and $50.00 for non-traffic offenses;

Appointed Becky David to the Industrial Development Board;

Approved the alcohol license for Backstreet Beverages;

Approved an EDA Community Trade Adjustment Assistance Grant for $1,662,505.00;

and Approved contracting with NACOLG to administer the grant.

The next regular meeting of the council is Monday, October 4, 7 PM.
