Family Home Damaged by Fire

There was a residential fire at the Lane Residence at 1750 County Highway 196 Wednesday afternoon around 1:30 p.m. The Haleyville Fire Department and Haleyville Police Department responded to the scene, requesting manpower assistance from Bear Creek and Delmar Fire Departments due to another HFD call at the same time. Despite efforts from firemen on the scene, there was serious damage to one end of the mobile home and smoke damage throughout.  No one was injured in the blaze, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
