Leon Bridges and seven others addressed the Haleyville City Council Tuesday. The Alabama Avenue Railroad Bridge was blocked by the county engineer for safety reasons for school buses. Mayor Albright stated it may be time to sue the railroad. More >>>

Haleyville Police report that James Randall Kenedy, 37 of 12882 Pounder Sims Road has been arrested and charged with: 13 counts of Rape 1st, 13 counts of Incest with a minor and 4 counts of Sodomy 1st based on information from an investigation that began on February 2, 2007.

LifeLine Screening at Traders & Farmers Bank West House - Haleyville
June 22 – Over 75 people were screened for four major conditions as a preventative measure. The screening was provided through LifeLine Screening and included screens to detect stroke, aortic aneurysm, arterial disease and osteoporosis. This service is offered two times per year in the Winston County area and costs $129. The results are mailed directly to your home.
