The council also approved the following:
1. Regular council minutes 3/16/09 and February financial statement.
2, Extension of lease agreement for airport property to Keith Hicks and city.
3. Renewing and amending Insurance coverage from Haleyville Insurance, Mike Evans.
4. City will participate in sales tax holiday in the fall to correspond with back to school.
5. Renewed loan at Traders & Farmers for $230,954.61 with monthly payments of $1,052,17/mo.
6. Slag for HHS softball field parking lot.
7. Advertise for bids for drains for city pool.
8. Advertise for lifeguards for city pool
9. Postponed resurfacing tennis courts.
10. Cops CHRP grant to hire police officers and public hearing on April 13 @ 10 a.m.
11, Rescheduled May 4 council meeting to May 7 at 7 p.m.
12. JAG grant & public hearing on May 7, 6:30 p.m. Money to be used to replace K-9 unit.
11. Bidding out city cemetery maintenance
