With all members present, the Haleyville Board of Education first approved the minutes of their regular session on January 27, 2009.
Under new business the board approved the following:
1. Board Expenditures for January, 2009 in the amount of $1,150,276.25.
2. Substitute Teacher List.
3. Fied trip for FCCLA to attend State FCCLA meeting in Bessemer, AL March 26 through March 27.
4. Field trip for band students to attend All-State Band Competition in Auburn, AL April 16, through April 18.
5. Field trip for My Call/Haleyville Transition Team to travel to Birmingham for social interaction skills.
6. Field trip for FBLA to attend FBLA state competition in Birmingham April 16 through April 17.
7. Textbook committee for the 2009-2010 school year.
8. Budget amendment #1 to reflect prorated allocations.

Personnel Action:
Transferred Russ ORear from HES to HMS as principal effective July 1.
Hired Barry Butler as part time custodian
Granted Tiffany Donan Family leave for newly adopted baby.
Hired Tina Batchelor and Patricia Godsey to HMS lunchroom for breakfast shift.
