Highway 129 at 6th Ave

Two vehicle collision, with one entrapment. Rebecca Allen, 59, Marion County Highway 449, was on her way home from a doctors visit when her Buick LeSabre collided with a Ford Taurus entering from 6th Ave next to Jolly Dan's. The Taurus was driven by Lisa Tucker, who had just left work at Winston Furniture. A witness driving behind her stated Tucker could not see to the right when she pulled onto Highway 129 because of vehicles parked parked near the road at Jolly Dan's. Haleyville firemen struggled to free Mrs. Allen who was held upside down by her seat belt. Airbags in both vehicles deployed preventing more serious injures to both ladies. Both Lisa Tucker and Rebecca Allen were transported from the scene by RPS ambulance.
