The Haleyville Water Board has started a four-year project to re-paint its water towers. Each tower must be re-painted about once every 12 to 15 years. EPA and ADEM check for rust during their annual inspections. The tank pictured above is on 30st Street near Littleville Road. It is 250,000 gallons and the re-painting will cost $153,000. The board operates four tanks. The shroud will protect property in the area from the sandblasting and painting.
