The Haleyville Board of Education met Tuesday night and approved the following: 

Board Expenditures for June, 2011, in the amount of $1,254,428.31;

Field Trip Request for the 2012 Senior Class to attend the Senior Educational Tour to Washington, DC, and New York, NY, May 12 – 19, 2012;

Payment of Membership Service Fees to Alabama Association of School Boards;

Sponsor Contracts for the 2011-2012 school year;

FY 2011-2012 Original Budget;

Adjustments to the 2011-2012 school year personnel salary schedule for the purpose of step advancements, equalization and state averages per the State of Alabama Department of Education Salary by Object Code;

Refunding Trust Agreement between the City of Haleyville and the Haleyville City Board of Education and US Bank National Association for the purpose of applying the remaining 2007 proceeds to the advanced refunding and redemption of a portion of the series 2007 warrants with a maturity date of July 1, 2037;

Local charges and fees for Haleyville Schools for the 2011-2012 school year;

Coaching Assignments and Supplements for the 2011-2012 school year;

Physical and Occupational Therapy Services Agreement by and between Lakeland Community Hospital and Haleyville City Schools;

Substitute Teacher List;

Guarantee Trust Life Insurance Company as FY2011-2012 school year Student and Athletic Accident Insurance provider;

Bid for Janitorial Supplies to the lowest bidder, item by item effective August 1, 2011, through July 31, 2012;

Bid for copier paper to Paper & Chemical Supply , Leighton, AL, in the amount of $29.70 per case of 8 ½ X 11 and $41.50 per case of 8 ½ X 14 effective August 1, 2011 through December 31, 2011; and,

Fundraisers: Cheerleaders to sell booster badges, Lion Paw Prints (on 20th Street), and hold a Mini Cheer Camp; Cross Country – Track Field to sell Athletic throws/afghans; HHS Senior Class to hold yearly magazine sales; and DECA to ell HHS blankets. 

There was no personnel action taken.

The next meeting of the Board is Tuesday, August 23, 7 PM, at the high school.
