The Haleyville boys golf team continued their stellar season by winning the 4A section 4 golf tournament at Twin Pines Country Club in Russellville.

The Lions defeated teams from Ardmore, Brooks, Central Florence, Deshler, Fayette, Priceville, West Limestone, and Wilson.

Senior Justin Rowe led the Lions with a 2nd place individual finish 74. He was followed by fellow senior Kolby Hamrick's 3rd place individual finish 75.

Joining his teammates on the ALL-SECTION tournament team was sophomore Lee Lann, 77, tied for 5th individually. Rounding out the Lions scoring team was Junior Jonathan Early, 87, and 8th grader Clint Phillips, 93.

The Lions earned a spot in Northern Substate tournament to be held in Decatur at Point Mallard golf course. If the Lions can manage a top 3 finish in Decatur they will qualify for the 2011 Alabama State Golf Tournament to be held in Mobile May 9 & 10.
