A Winston County work crew clears Dime Road near the Franklin County line Wednesday morning.

Firefighters and work crews in the City and County, in both Haleyville and Bear Creek, were busy before dawn Wednesday morning clearing roads of trees and debris and checking on storm damage.

A home on Marion County Highway 79 had its roof blown off and many residents in the area were dealing with trees and power lines on roofs. At least three accidents were reported. Some drivers were trapped in their vehicles until Alabama Crews could clear power lines. There were no reports of injuries.

The area remains under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 10 AM.
