Pebble VFD BBQ: "Fan'n the Flames"

The Pebble Volunteer Fire Department held its 4th Annual "Fan'n the Flames" BBQ Sunday. All proceeds go into the department's general fund. Pebble has responded to over 300 calls this year.

The results: Burger - Silence of The Hams, Chris Smith; Sauce - Silence of The Hams, Chris Smith; Dessert - Holy Smoke, Chris Hyde; Chicken - (1st) Crippled Pig, Wade Pace, (2nd) Smokin Rednecks, Richie Wilson, (3rd) Silence of the Hams, Chris Smith; Ribs - (1st) Porky's Nightmare, Jon Lewonczyk, (2nd) Silence of the Hams, Chris Smith, (3rd) Holy Smoke, Chris Hyde; and Pork - (1st) Papa & Birdy's Barbq, Dennis Crane, (2nd) Porky's Nightmare, Jon Lewonczyk, (3rd) Holy Smoke, Chris Hyde.

Reserve Grand Champion went to Silence of The Hams, Chris Smith.

Grand Champion went to Porky's Nightmare, Jon Lewonczyk.

The 17-firefighter department is holding a haunted house (jointly with Ashridge) and will also be selling Turkey and Dressing in November.
