Curb Appeal

Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) recently added a little curb appeal to the intersection of Highway 13 and 195. The curb was removed and lowered for the 18 wheelers which had a difficult time negotiating the turn from Highway 13 South onto Highway 195. If you are approaching the intersection from Highway 13 in the left lane, you should stop short of the intersection on the white line to allow large trucks to make the turn off Highway 13. 

Work is still progressing on the culvert at the intersection of Highway 13 and 8th Avenue, with 8th Avenue closed both north and south at that location. There are road cones to divert the traffic around the work area. You are reminded to slow down going through the area.
