New Fire Station Occupied

The Haleyville Fire Department has now occupied the new Fire Station Number 1 on Highway 13 North with trucks and equipment. The date for the official ribbon cutting has not been set. There are still many "little" things which have to be done before the move will be complete. As in building any new facility, the outside walls and roof goes up relatively quickly, then the inside takes a while. According to fireman, Jeff Postell, "we still have some work to do." 

Until recently, he trucks were parked outside, at the Haleyville Fire Training Facility behind Brooks Auto on Highway 13 North. Now, the equipment is indoors and ready for the next fire.
