City Hall Coming Down.

The demolition of city hall began Monday morning and should be complete by Tuesday. The hardest part to bring down was the area pictured above where the city jail was housed. The steel reinforced concrete surounding the jail area was difficult, but no match for the power of the track hoe. There will be a series of photos later on hbtv.us showing the two-days work of completely taking down the city hall. Construction on the new city hall is well underway and photos will soon be posted showing the progress of that project. All city hall and police personnel are temporarily operating in the Neighborhood Facilities Building.
