3 Vehicle Accident in Bear Creek

A three vehicle accident just before 4 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 13 North in Bear Creek resulted in no serious injuries, but could have been much worse. A Bear Creek resident in a northbound GMC pickup was turning left into his residence when a Chrysler Cruiser, driven by Keith Owens, 57, of Phil Campbell, began stopping behind him. Owens realized the vehicle behind him was not stopping and made an attempt to get out of the it's way. A red sedan, driven by a hispanic female, struck the Owen's vehicle, knocking it off the road and up against the gravel embankment of the Norfork-Southern railroad. Medics checked all parties and determined no one was seriously injured, thanks to air bags which deployed upon impact.
