Loose Bales Cause Accident

There was a two vehicle accident Sunday afternoon on Marion County Highway 48.The accident occurred at 12:40 p.m. when at least two bales of hay came unattached from a trailer and crashed into the front end and windshield of a van. The 2011 Ford truck was driven by Adam Edwards, 24 of Haleyville, and the GMC van was driven by O'Neal Adair, 58 of Haleyville. Adair and four passengers in the van were injured in the accident.  Both the Alabama Department of Public Safety and the Bear Creek Fire Department responded to the scene. The injured parties were transported by Regional Paramedical Services.
