The Lady Lions of Haleyville High School won the Area 15 Softball Tournament Wednesday. Haleyville began the day facing Priceville and defeated the Bulldogs.  The ladies continued through the winners’ bracket and next defeated Brooks, securing placement in the championship game and the Regional Softball Tournament. The championship game was finally completed around 12:30 a.m. Thursday, making the Lady Lions Area Champions. The Lady Lions will travel to Huntsville to compete in the Regional Tournament May 9-10, 2014.
