Unconfirmed reports state that Haleyville Football Coach and Athletic Director Mark Heaton has resigned from Haleyville High School and will be accepting a position as the Football Coach at Russellville High School. Several players confirmed Heaton met with his team Thursday morning to deliver the news, and a Special Called Board of Education meeting is scheduled for Thursday evening at 5:00 p.m. where the board is expected to formally accept Heaton's resignation.
