Board Welcomes Marbutt as CSFO

The Haleyville City Board of Education met Tuesday night, and all members were present. The first item of business was the hiring of Candy Marbutt as the new Chief School Financial Officer. Marbutt was hired on a contract for two years and six months. She will be up for renewal at that time. Marbutt will begin January 2, 2014. 

The following items were also approved. 

-minutes from the regular session on 11/19/13 and the special session 12/11/13

-board expenditures for November in the amount of $1,297,113.28

-a bid for tshirt printing machines and supplies to the highest bidder

-substitute teacher list

-FY 2014 Annual Budget

-change of senior play dates to Feb. 11-12, 2014 due to scheduling conflict

-use of the HES cafetorium to HES PTO March 7-8, 2014

-use of the HES cafetorium for the HHS Football Banquet 1/13/14

-over-the-counter medications policy to be sent to components for input

-School Board Operations Police to be sent to components for input

-occasional use of the HES gym for HPR basketball teams and the Haleyville 10-12 Girls' Travel Basketball Team

-one fundraiser for the agriscience classes

-FMLA for Ashley Adamson beginning around March 20 and ending around April 25

The next Haleyville City Board of Education Meeting will be held January 28, 2014.
