Winston County Cleanup Day

The Winston County Commission has set Saturday, December 7, 2013 as the County-wide Cleanup Day in coordination with BFI Landfill in Haleyville, Pace Ind. Landfill in Lynn, Hyche Landfill in Addison, and Hyche Landfill in Double Springs. Landfills will be open to the public for free from 8:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. Only appliances with freon removed from them will be accepted. The following items will not be accepted for this event: batteries, oil, paint, or aerosol cans, chemicals, styrofoam, televisions, or household garbage. There will be a limit of four (4) tires per vehicle or load. No commercial or industrial waste. Please take this opportunity to clean-up on your road and around your house and haul it to your nearest landfill.
