The Haleyville City Council held its regular meeting Monday morning, with all members present.

The Council approved up to $20,000 to complete the finishing touches on the Safe Center. Most of the money will go to finishing the Emergency Operations Center.

 In election-related action, the Council appointed Acting City Clerk Debra Hood to perform the Mayor's election-related duties. This is required because Mayor Ken Sunseri is running for re-election.

The Council approved trading in a surplus backhoe in exchange for an additional grapple truck.

The next meeting of the Council is Monday, July 16, 11 AM, City Hall.
