BOE Approves Earlier Retirement Date for Baggett

The Haleyville Board of Education met in a special session Tuesday morning and approved an earlier retirement date for Dr. Clint Baggett as Superintendet of Education. The Board approved the last working day of April 30 instead of June 30 to move forward a May 1, 2012, planned retirement of Dr. Baggett. This will allow him to step into a consulting role beginning March 7. Linda Godsey was appointed Interim Superintendent pending the hiring of a permanent Superintendent.
