Haleyville Police Patrolman Rodney Lewis observed two occupants of a Ford F-150 pickup on Highway 13 not wearing seat belts. What began as a routine traffic stop escalated into two felony arrests when he observed a working crystal meth lab in plain view in the bed of the truck. Arrested at the scene were Jeremy Swims, 23, and Amy Hall, 20, of Haleyville. Both were transported to the Winston County jail. Haleyville police investigator Tim Steien and Haleyville firemen were called to the scene to insure the safety of the area near the Wavaho station and Subway. |
