Rachel Christian, Bessemer, was driving north on Highway 13 and as she topped the hill just south of the Boartosh Industrial Park intersection she saw a stopped vehicle in the road. She attempted to stop, but her Toyota struck the rear of the red Chevy Blazer driven by Jason Morgan, 25 of Haleyville. Jason had stopped to make a turn and saw and heard the oncoming car and unsuccessfully attempted to accelerate out of the way. Jason was shaken but otherwise uninjured. Rachel Christian was taken to Lakeland Hosptial complaining of chest pains. |
