Bobby Moore, 67, an equipment operator for the Haleyville Street Department had spent the morning grading the gravel road to the new Armed Forces Reserve Training Center off Newburg Road. He was reportedly returning to the shop by way of Newburg Road in the grader. According to a witness, the grader stopped near the top of the Blake Curve hill. It then rolled back down the hill, over a guard rail and flipped upside down into the creek trapping Moore underneath. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Winston County Coroner Larry Gilliland.
