How To Start A Reel Repair Business
Summary

The goal is teach others who may be interested in starting their own reel repair business as either a part-time or full-time business. Starting any business can be a little scary especially if this is your first time. With this book I help point some key issues to be considered such as the right and wrong way to do things, how to get started and how to market yourself and your business. I also touch on some reel repairing and servicing but the majority of that information will be available in my latest book coming out in May 2009. I show the average person proven methods that can take their business onto the fast track and out perform large corporations when it comes to search engine rankings and results, without spending a penny on advertising.

Summary
This book is geared toward teaching one everything about fishing reels from the ground up.  We start with the history There are some really fascinating issues presented. We carry you through the manufacturing process, including what materials are used in the construction, bearings, bushings, etc. The heart of the book will show you how to properly care for your reels so you will achieve sustainable performance and maximum lifetime in your investment. Detailed graphics and illustrations will show precisely where to lubricate your reel and where you should be using grease or oil. Included are many tips, collected from experts with decades of experience repairing reels.
Jeff Holder
I was born on May 18, 1964 in Haleyville, Alabama. My parents are J.C. (living in Haleyville) and Barbara (deceased) Holder. I have one sister, Sandi Wright who works as a nurse in Haleyville and has always been an inspiration for me. In 1985 my daughter Cassandra was born (living in Haleyville), and in 1986 my son Aaron Holder was born (now living in Huntsville, AL). I graduated from Haleyville High School in 1982, attended Northwest Alabama Technical College for Electronics, then enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1986.

In the Navy I served as a Navigation Electronics Technician aboard several Ballistic Nuclear Submarines, including the U.S.S. Lewis and Clark and the U.S.S. Pennsylvania during the Gulf War. I completed Hostage Negotiation, Terrorist Combat and Riot Control with the FBI. In 1993 I left the U.S. Navy and moved to Pensacola, Florida where my second daughter Candice Holder was born in 1995. In 1998 I moved to California, and worked as a Systems Engineer for several companies including Microsoft, SAIC and Abbott Laboratories.

I still reside in California today with my wife Kathleen, and our new daughter Haley Alana born September 5,  2007, I am employed with Lockheed Martin at a U.S. Air Force Base, as a Systems Engineer responsible for Air Force Networks and supporting Tactical Flights to Iraq.

In 2007 I started ReelSchematic.com, to provide anglers with a full line of services and products that were not offered anywhere else. We now ship our products worldwide to anglers and business, in over 33 different countries. In Feburary 2009 I published my first book, and I am currently working on my second book which will be published in May 2009.
