LOCAL HEAD START CENTERS CURRENTLY TAKING APPLICATIONS FOR FALL ENROLLMENT
	Head Start is a free federally funded preschool program, providing services for children and families who meet federal income guidelines. Children with special needs and or disabilities are encouraged to apply and are priority enrollees. No school supplies are needed. Head Start offers a caring environment, access to health services, complete developmental screening, educational assessment, great learning
experiences, and help with transition to Kindergarten. All children receive free meals (breakfast, lunch and a snack). To apply for Haleyville call 486-9996 and for Bear Creek call 486-8815.
