Keith Brown, CFO of Southern Energy Homes in Addison addressed the  Haleyville Rotary Club on Thursday. Brown discussed the history of  Southern Energy and how the company's stock had been purchased by  Clayton Homes, which is owned by Berkshire Hathaway Inc, the Warren  Buffet company. Southern Energy has downsized over the years,  adjusting to the decrease in demand for manufactured housing units,  but it has continued to make a profit. The decline in manufactured  homes was attributed to the decline in financial institutions willing  to lend money for the purchase of the homes. As part of Clayton Homes,  Southern Energy now has better marketing and financial resources to  help the company succeed.
