Eddy Grant Jackson, 55 of Addison, was killed when his truck and  trailer jack-knifed west bound on Highway 278 between Double Springs  and Natural Bridge. The livestock trailer was empty and the highway  was wet at the time of the accident. Lynn firemen and Double Springs  Rescue Squad members were called to the scene. An Alabama State  Troopers investigated the accident with only one vehicle involved. The  truck apparently left the highway and struck several large pines trees  on the south side of the highway. Winston County Coroner Larry  Gilliland pronounced Jackson dead at the scene.
