Kimberly and Ralph Edwards, Jr. turned themselves in to the Haleyville police after warrants had been issued for their arrests. Kim was charged with four counts of receiving stolen property first degree, six counts of receiving stolen property second degree and one count of receiving stolen property third degree. Ralph was charged with five counts of receiving stolen property first degree, six counts of receiving stolen property second degree and one count of receiving stolen property third degree. Both were booked, processed and then transfered to the Marion County jail in Hamilton. The value of the property determines the level of the charge. Third degree entails a value of less than $500, second degree is $500 but less than $2500 and first degree is anything over $2500. Russellville had previously arrested the couple with similar charges resulting from an investigation into the theft from locked storage units in the Russellville area. Both are reportedly out on bond awaiting court dates. |
