Haleyville Police on Thursday March 6th arrested Theresa Michelle Hammac, age 25, of 2313 Avenue G, Birmingham, Alabama after she tried to pass a counterfeit (bogus) check in the amount of $728.53. The check was from North West Home Health Care Agency, Inc., account with the First National Bank NA. Hammac is charged with 17 counts of

Possession of a forged instrument and is currently being held in the Winston County Jail under bonds totaling $255,000. Hammac is accused of passing 17 counterfeit (bogus) checks between December 14th, 2006 and March 6th, 2008. The total amount of all 17 checks was $10,085.22. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
