OVERTURNED TANKER TRAILER ON 6TH AVENUE

A tanker trailer loaded with Liquimeth, an amino acid chicken food additive, overturned as the driver attempted to turn into the Marshal Durbin feed mill facility on 6th Avenue near highway 129. Reportedly, the driver was talking on his cell phone and cut the turn short with the rear wheels of the trailer going into a ditch and causing the trailer to overturn and break loose from the tractor.

Haleyville police and firemen cordoned off the area until the trailer could be righted with wreckers. Liquimeth is considered harmless unless there is a fire. The fire department stood by to guard against a possible fire while the recovery took place.No one was injured in the mishap.
