Heavy rains overnight brought flooding to the city storm shelter in the basement of the downtown library. Mayor Ken Sunseri has been attempting to find a solution for this recurring problem which happens every time there are heavy rains, usually associated with stormy weather. Another problem with using the library basement as a shelter is it is not handicapped accessible. The mayor is seeking funding for a better facility that will be dry and handicapped accessible for protection during stormy weather.
