Rickmon, age 35 of Haleyville arrested and charged with

2 Counts-Sodomy 1st Degree& 1 Count-Sexual Abuse 1st Degree |
January 31 — Shane Alan Rickmon, age 35 of 815 5th Avenue in Haleyville was arrested on January 24 at his residence and transferred to on January 26 to the Winston County Jail where he is currently being held.
These charges stem from alleged acts committed by Rickmon over the past six years. The victim was 10 years old when the first act took place and continued throughout the following six years.

The victim stated she reported these acts earlier, but that she was told that nothing could be proven. On January 24, the incident was reported to the Haleyville Police Department for the first time, at which time an investigation began resulting in the arrest of Rickmon, with formal charges on January 26.
Agencies involved in the latest investigation and arrest include Lt. Tim Steien of the Haleyville Police Department, Winston County DHR, and Winston County District Attorney. |
