Contract for the removal of roof and tile floor at old Frontier building

Borrowing $70,000 from Traders & Farmers Bank at 4.24% for three years to fund the purchase of two new police cars, a street department van, and a fire department box truck plus additional equipment and markings for the vehicles.

Hiring Tim Robertson Park & Recreation maintenance employee.

Hiring Christopher Bradford and Phillip Cosby as Street & Sanitation employees.

Shannon Sartin and Jimmy Dye and other members of a group asked the city for assistance for adult softball. The group planned to use the city ball fields and play tournaments for charity.

Police Chief Kyle Reogas stated that Haleyville schools begin on Monday, August 7. Please aware of the anticipated congestion on the first couple of days in the vicinity of both HES and HHS.

The next scheduled meeting of the council will be Tuesday, August 15, 5:30 at city hall.
