Heavy wind and rain pounded
Haleyville again blowing over a tree
in the yard of Charles Pierce on
20th Street. The tree fell across
his own pickup. Local residents saw perhaps the
heaviest rain in |

the shortest
period of time in their lifetime.
Water rose to the inside of Dixie Flower
and Gift Shop on Highway 13 as well as
the WJBB radio studios and offices.
A downed tree, a damaged pickup and
wet floors, but no one was injured
during the last of our recurring storms. |
