4th Annual
“Walk A Mile For A Child”
March 31, 2006

Purpose: To raise public awareness along with funds to help stop child abuse and domestic violence.  The event coincides with Child Abuse Prevention Month in April and all proceeds benefit Safeplace’s efforts to end child abuse and domestic violence.

Safeplace’s 25th anniversary. Walk will start at the Lakeland Hospital at 1 p.m. and walkers will continue to the Dr. Palmer’s Sign Project location in the Walmart Parking Lot, to the Haleyville Church of God and then to the Haleyville Police Dept. and City Hall to demonstrate the journey each victim has to take. Note: Waiver required to walk.

What is “Walk A Mile For A Child?” Walk a mile each or walk for 25 minutes to help keep children safe from abuse.
