Sondra works for Alabama Power in the Economic and Community Development Department. In her role as Community Development Project Manager, she works with communities located in the Alabama Power Company Service Territory. Her current area of responsibility covers twenty-one counties in the state, spanning from Western Division to Mobile Division.

Developing leadership programs, facilitating strategic planning, and assisting with industrial site development, are core services the Alabama Power Community Development staff offers. In addition, for the last six years, she has managed the Alabama Power Company Speculative Loan Building Program.

Sondra grew up in rural White Plains, Alabama (think Anniston) and Trussville, Alabama (think Birmingham), attended the University of Alabama, completed her B.S. degree and received her MBA degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1996.

Professional economic development training includes, completed course work at Ohio State University and Auburn University. She is also certified to do strategic planning and advance facilitation by The Leadership Strategies Institute.

Community interests involve work with the United Way of Alabama Campaigns and the Habitat for Humanity efforts.

She is married to Ken and has two grown sons, Jason and Ken.
